Year-long Training in MH-I/DD with START
Project Laulima has partnered with the Center for START Services to provide a year-long training, consultation and mentoring program to develop the expertise of agency staff and service providers working with children with co-occurring mental health diagnoses and intellectual/developmental disabilities in Hawaii. The program began in early December of 2015. The anticipated outcomes include:
IVAT (Institute on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma) Conference
The 13th Annual Hawaii Conference, "Preventing, Assessing & Treating Trauma Across the Lifespan", presented by the Institute on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma (IVAT) aims to spread the latest research, prevention, assessment, and intervention techniques concerning various aspects of child, adolescent, and adult trauma and maltreatment as well as the long term effects if they go untreated.

Special Parent Information Network Conference (SPIN)
The Special Parent Information Network (SPIN) will be holding their "SPIN 30th Reunion" this April 2016. This conference aims to help families of children with disabilities in receiving information and to give them the opportunity to meet and network with fellow parents and professionals. The conference will include 16 workshops focused on various topics, complexity, and specific disabilities.
